New Beginning Covenant Ministry (NBCM) is a seven-year-old nonprofit church located in West Dallas, Texas. True to its name, nondenominational church New Beginning Covenant Ministry offers everyone a new beginning through Christ, believing no one is too lost to be saved. With many members living or having been raised in the West Dallas area, NBCM has a pulse on the surrounding community, whether feeding the homeless or giving back to those in need in other ways. NBCM’s ministries include a worship and fine arts ministry, mission and women ministry, men’s ministry, and youth ministry
NBCM’s spiritual leadership team consists of Senior Pastor Vincent Young, Reverend Keyven Lewis, Reverend Ethan Harlan, Minister LaDonna Harlan, and Reverend Marilyn Willis. The organization’s leadership team provides spiritual advice to all the ministries of its church. NBCM also enlists deacons to assist the Pastor, Assistant Pastors and Associate Ministers in praise and worship while ministering to those who enter the church for all services and functions. Each member of the leadership team also plays an active role in coordinating NBCM events.
The church’s youth workers have developed an aggressive and spiritual plan under God’s guidance and leadership, and NBCM members minister at local and surrounding nursing homes and assist families in need. Within its first year of ministry, NBCM immediately began monthly visits to the Renaissance Nursing Center, where it has had the pleasure of ministering to people unable to attend church services. A partnership with WorldVision and a membership with Good360 have expanded the reach of NBCM beyond its local community.
NBCM places a special emphasis on ministering to youth as our next generation of leaders. In 2012, the Organization held its first-ever youth conference, called “I Got Next.” This conference is intended to empower the next generation and help youth understand their God-designed purpose. The first event gave NBCM the chance to minister to over 100 children from the West Dallas area.
